Dana Okur, Doctor of Dental Surgery
Dr. Dana Okur (“Dr. O”) is a compassionate, results driven dentist focused on providing comprehensive patient care using the latest technologies and procedures. She strives to ensure a comfortable experience for patients, valuing clear communication and building meaningful relationships.
Dr. O is a native of Columbia, Maryland. She graduated with honors from the University of Maryland with a degree in Neurobiology and Physiology. While attending the University of Maryland, Dr. O wrote and defended a thesis, and her research was published in the Journal of Neuroscience. After college, Dr. O went on to earn her dental degree from the University of Maryland, where she was a member of several honor societies. She moved to Philadelphia after dental school to further her training at Albert Einstein Medical Center’s general practice residency. While at Einstein, Dr. O developed surgical experience and treated severely medically compromised patients.
What was supposed to be a short stint in Philadelphia for residency turned into a 15-year stay! During that time, Dr. O worked at a variety of practices in and around the city. She was named one of Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Dentists for the past several years. She was recently awarded “Top Dentist 2026” in Philadelphia.
Dr. O is committed to providing top-quality care tailored to each patient’s needs and staying on the cutting edge of dentistry. In addition to local continuing education programs, she regularly visits the Spear Campus in Arizona for high-impact, hands on continuing education training courses, including seminars on occlusion, restorative technique, and master comprehensive care.
Dr. O recently returned to Maryland and lives in Rockville with her two children. She is thrilled to be back in the area and loves spending time with her siblings (who live close by) and reconnecting with friends in the DMV. She is excited to learn more about local restaurants and fun activities to do in the area with her kids.
